Vocational education is an important part of educational development in our country.Because of the tighter interaction between education,economy and society,on the one hand,the development of provincial vocational education is put forward new requirements for the major function of certain region;On the other hand,vocational education also need serve actively and promote the construction of major functional zones.On the research of this problem,experts and scholars at home or abroad,the administrative personnel and the public more focused on just diagnosis and countermeasures in the perspective of education,and the systemative research is lack on the development of vocational education in the perspective of the major function of certain region.We think: the major functional zoning strategy in China and the major function oriented zoning in Yunnan not only provides a new opportunity to the overall planning and development of vocational education,also provides a new perspective in the research of the segmental development of vocational education in Yunnan.To the development of vocational education in Yunnan,it is urgent to adapt spatial layout,levels,major setup and forms to the major function oriented zoning.This study is based on interdisciplinary research both paradigm and geography,on the basis of the theory of spatial structure,the theory of human and geography terrain system,sustainable development theory,theory of human capital,the theory of relationship between vocational education and regional economy,and the theory of regional planning.First of all,the paper analyzes and combs the objective foundation of the vocational education regionalization in Yunnan from four aspects.The four aspects are the Yunnan positioning in the major functional zoning strategy in China,the geographical environmental characteristics in Yunnan,the requirements of the major function oriented zoning in Yunnan,and the present situation of the vocational education development in Yunnan.Secondly,referencing on the regionalizationmethodology in geography,following the general principles of regionalization in geography,this study puts forward the special principles of regionalization in vocational education in Yunnan.Thirdly,the paper adopts expert consultation method,clustering analysis,principal component analysis and GIS analysis methods,and establishes the index system of the classification evaluation on the vocational education development in Yunnan.On the basis of the index system,the paper classifies the vocational education development in Yunnan.Applying to the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation,the paper transforms the classification into spatial zoning,and puts forward the concrete scheme of vocational education regionalization in Yunnan.The study divides the all region of the vocational education development in Yunnan into 4 districts,for example,core zone,abdominal zone,extended zone,potential zone,and so on.Fourthly,the paper presents developmental countermeasures and suggestions for each type of vocational education.The systematic research shows that:(1)The development of vocational education in Yunnan should adapt actively and comprehensively to the major function oriented zoning and regional function.In order to promote the construction of major functional zones,we must make the spatial layout,levels,major setup and forms of vocational education in Yunnan adapt to economic layout,industrial structure,population distribution in the major function oriented zoning.This leads to the orientation of vocational education regionalization in Yunnan.(2)The zoning of vocational education in Yunnan is the result of the interaction among the current situation of the development of vocational education in Yunnan,natural and economic geography conditions in Yunnan,and different major function of different regions of Yunnan.The differences existing in vocational education development of each state in Yunnan provides possibility to zoning of vocational education in Yunnan.The natural and economic geographical characteristics in Yunnan is the important foundation of regionalization of vocational education in Yunnan.The major functions of different zones decide to the direction of regionalization of vocational education in Yunnan.(3)The overall area of vocational education in Yunnan can be divided into four types.The first is core zone in the development of vocational education in Yunnan,and it is Kunming.The second is abdominal zone in the development of vocational education in Yunnan,including Qujing,Yuxi,Honghe,Wenshan,Dali,Chuxiong and Puer.The third is an extended zone in the development of vocational education in Yunnan,including Zhaotong,Lincang,Xishuangbanna,Baoshan andDehong;The fourth is potential zone in the development of vocational education in Yunnan,including Lijiang,DiQing and Nujiang.(4)Different zone should focus on the different development direction in the vocational education.The first zone(core zone)should promote the spread of the poles,speed up the construction of model vocational colleges,improve educational levels,strengthen the construction of majors,diversify its vocational education,and strengthen construction of the teachers staff.The second zone(abdominal zone)should strengthen the macro-control,play full role in the participation of industries and enterprises into the vocational education,improve the education levels,strengthen the construction of of the teachers staff,and adjust structure of major.The third zone(extended zone)should increase the financial input in vocational education,expand the scale of vocational education,construct special majors,share high-quality vocational education resources.The fourth zone(potential zone)should add culture-related majors,improve serve to issues of agriculture,implement vocational and technical training actively,promote sharing of the vocational education resources.As a interdisciplinary research both paradigm and geography,this study not only enriches the related theory research on interaction between regional vocational education and regional development in the perspective of major function oriented zoning,and also extends theoretical perspective of the traditional structural adjustment of vocational education.Furthermore,the research has practical significance to provide decision-making reference for the relevant administrative department of vocational education.
