Organizations face a significant challenge in development and implementation of team member training programs. The casino and lodging industry require effective food-safety training to mitigate risk and liability. Past and present training models have not been effective in sustainable team member performance. The current ethnographic case study presents an analysis of present training methodologies in comparison to team member acceptance and execution of training protocol. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between team members and leadership in regard to the effectiveness of training programs. The analysis also examined the role of formal and informal leadership and the effect upon the culture of the organization. Findings of the current study are important to development of a new training paradigm that will enable leadership to ensure greater levels of product safety and reduce liability. |
