Quality Education is a bright flag in China's basic education. It uncovered theeighth elementary education curriculum reform. After the implementation of newcurriculum reform, the elective courses is included in the reform content and occupiedthe important position. It provides a strong guarantee for the development of electivecourses and plays an important role in the globalization of education.The implementation of the elective courses build a platform for teaching studentsaccording to their aptitude, realizing the personalized education and implementingcredit system. This study selected a typical case of an ordinary high school. Throughresearching in the school, the author understood the process and current situation ofelective curriculum implementation, found the various factors influencing theelective curriculum implementation, revealed the characteristics of the electivecurriculum implementation, put forward the recommendations that promote theeffective implementation of elective courses. The author expected that provide someopinions and suggestions for further rewrite the new curriculum plan,,and make newcurriculum scheme implemented effectively.The purpose of this research mainly has the following three aspects: One isthrough the case of schools and other similar research, the status was understood inthe new curriculum reform after elective curriculum implementation. The second is tofurther improve the management system of the curriculum reform, and give aneffective guidance for the implementation of new curriculum reform. Three is on thebasis of investigation and research, it aims to judge for the implementation of thecourses and the suggestion, and make the new curriculum reform promote students'development and social development.This article adopts the method of qualitative research. Through the interviewsand observation research object, it makes a deeper understanding of elective ?courses and elective ? courses implementation status. At the same time, this articlealso adopts quantitative research. It aims to find out the difficulties and problems thatexist in the curriculum implementation, based on the practice class, starting from theneeds of students, linking theory with practice. Secondly, from characteristics of theimplementation of the elective courses, the author summarized the characteristics ofthe curriculum implementation, found the relationship between compulsory coursesand elective courses, elective ? and elective ?. They are links and extension,expansion and supplement. Third, from the samples of the present situation andcharacteristics of elective courses, the author tried to summarize, analyze, and find outthe influence factors of the implementation of elective courses. Finally, the authormade a conclusion and gave some suggestions for elective courses implementing inChina.In this paper, the following are main conclusions: First, the implementing and offering of elective course are widely identitied bythe schools and students.The implementation of the elective courses highlight the theory on schoolmanagement and school-running characteristics. Setting up of the elective coursesmeet the diversified demands, enhance the students' overall qualities, highlightautonomic learning and individualized learning.Second, There is a gap between elective courses implementation of the schooland national curriculum reform.In the track of the curriculum reform, the schools haven't open full coursesaccording to the national and provience curriculum programmes. The schools alwaysopen the subjects related to college entrance examination. They thought it is the mostimportant, and the students learn the elective courses would occupy their time forpreparing the college entrance examinationThird, The implementation of elective courses depends largely on the collegeentrance examination.The plan of the college entrance examination plays a crucial role in theimplementation of the new curriculum. College entrance examination is also animportant way to evaluate students high school academic achievement. The schoolsopen elective courses?and elective courses II, to some extent, is all about the exam.As long as the college entrance examination system of selecting talents is not change,the new curriculum reform would not be truly implemented.Fourth, The empletation of elective courses ? is decided on the conditions ofthe schools.The empletation of elective courses ? play the role of guidance and promotionin reflecting characteristics of the school, expand the autonomy of running a school,and developing the school education initiative and creation. But the development andimplementation of elective courses ? is limited by the teachers and facilities of theschool. It is difficult to meet the needs of teaching with the shortage of educationalfunds and teaching facilities.Fifth, Courses and class selection system needs to be improved.The implementation of elective courses is not completely selected class. Thisdeviate with the diversity, openness, comprehensiveness, hierarchy of elective courses,hinder the cultivation of innovative spirit and comprehensive ability of students, andrestrain training and development of the personality of students.Based on the research of theory and practice in the implementation stage of thenew curriculum reform, the author hopes to offer some suggestions and references forthe New Basic Education Curriculum Reform, and to promote the new course systemwith Chinese characteristics and era characteristics.
