High school curriculum reform is an important part of basic education curriculum reformin China. In March 2003, the Ministry of Education issued the "Ordinary High SchoolCurriculum Program (Pilot)" . As a new high school subject, technology is classified as one ofthe eight fields of study.Setting up technical curriculum meets the needs of both social development and students'development. The curriculum's main aim is enhancing students' technical knowledge. Theimplementation of this curriculum can effectively improve the idea that pay more attention toknowledge, skills than ability in traditional teaching . Particularly it can develop students'practice capacity and innovation capacity. But in the process of technical courses' specificimplementation, this paper will use facts and data to research its effects ,values,problemsand difficulties.This thesis studies students' recognition of generic technical courses from theirperspective. It mainly uses qualitative and quantitative research methods, which includesmethods of surveys, observing, literature, interviews and measurements. It is based on thetheory of curriculum and teaching. In these ways, the paper analyses students' recognitionof technical curriculum and implementation and results of this curriculum. Then it givessuggestions on how to enhance students recognition level of technical curriculum. So thiscan provide decision-making proof for the curriculum's implementation.This paper mainly includes four parts:The first part is the introduction. It includes this research's background, researchsignificance, research synthesis theory, which includes an overview of the contents of atechnical high school on a number of related courses introduced, the concept and theoreticalbasis research, courses and research with the current situation in both home and abroad.The second part is the study's task, target process and methods. It mainly introduces itsresearch theme, a brief description of research methods and its study process.The third part is on ordinary high school students to identify with the overall situationand the analysis of technical courses. It includes three aspects. The first one is students'recognition of basic values of generic technical curriculum. The second one is theirrecognition of this curriculum's aim. In detail, it includes the aim's level of realization,understanding and difficulty. The third one is students' recognition of the implementation ofthis curriculum. The implementation includes its basic conditions, effecting factors,accomplishment and resources' appliance. On the base of these aspects, this paper analysesthe effecting factors, which effect students' recognition of generic technical curriculum.The fourth part gives conclusions and recommendations. It discovers some problemswhich influence students' recognition of generic technical curriculum. Also these problemsneed to be resolved;otherwise, they may become obstacles of the implementation of technicalcurriculum. Then , it puts forward suggestions on circumstance of curriculum implementation,teachers' training, curriculum resources construction and evaluation mechanisms.
