Students' development-centered education is the starting point and utmost aim of education.In terms of the dialectical materialistic education philosophy of Marxism,the comprehensive and sustainable development of students should be based on guidance of scientific outlook of development,and stick to the development of creativeness,harmony,green,opening to the outside world,and sharing.In order to reach the overall and sustainable development,college students need attach importance to not only their internal determining factors,stimulating their internal motivation,but also the important influence of their external causes,promoting their own development with the help of exterior motive forces of development,i.e.,Being educators,it is proposed that we be familiar with and follow the law of education;stick to the student-based principle,and adhere to serving the growing-up,success and development of the students.In addition,it is important to provide students with external motive forces to guide and promote the overall growing-up and development of the students by insisting on the aim of overall and sustainable development and combining the social needs and the resources of the colleges.And as students,they should realize their own development and the historical responsibilities undertaking,seize the initiative of development,and arouse and adjust their internal power in order to promote their own harmonious development in moral,intelligence,sports,aesthetics and labor education,endeavoring to cultivate themselves as the qualified socialism builders and successors.The author has undertaken students' work in institutions of higher learning for many years,and the research is based on his practical inspiration and experience in work.After observing and analyzing the undergraduates'development trail and keeping a watchful eye on the students'development after their graduation,the author has concluded that there exist several categories of student groups.The first group of students have been proved to be top students with definite objective and out-and-out motive forces of development.Though there are only a few,they are able to turn their pressures into impetus and strive to make constant progress.The second group of students are well-behaved students with strong potentials who are in the majority,and they have development goal and can bear certain pressures.The third group of students are average students whose performances in every aspect are behind the others in the class.Their development goals are unclear,they are short of internal power and face with heavy pressures.And the last group belongs to those who have no objective of development,lack power,and face with great pressures.They are students who have failed in almost every course examinations,have poor interpersonal relationships,even suffer from mental depression or have symptoms of schizophrenia.The research is based on practice of ideological and political education in undergraduates.Questionnaire surveys,interviews,investigation and psychological tests have been adopted in the research.The dissertation will be expounded centering on the strategies of cultivating the students' motive forces of development,which consists of the introduction,body and conclusion And the body falls into 5 parts.The introduction part mainly states reasons of the subject selection,objective and significance,reviews of the current situation,definition of the related concept,and the basic ideas and methods of research.The first chapter expounds the theoretical basis and guiding significance of the development among college students.It elaborates the interest theory of Marxism,human beings' free all-round development,theory of relationship between human and environment,theory of spiritual motive,Scientific Outlook on Development and their guiding significances as well.The second chapter uses the college students' development theory of other countries for reference.It focuses on stating Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs Theory,Sukhomlinskii's Humanistic Education Theory' Jikelin's Psychological Development Theory on college students,and Fowler's Faith Development Theory.Meanwhile,it uses them for reference.The third chapter chiefly illustrates the background information,data analysis and conclusion with respect to empirical investigation.Firstly,it introduces the investigation targeting at pressures or resistance of development among college students in Guangxi,including such empirical methods as investigation objective,subjects,and the psychological test as well.Secondly,it makes an investigation of the status quo and an empirical analysis of the pressures college students faced with.Sampling survey and data analysis have been made among students in different institutions of higher learning,also in different disciplines,such as liberal arts,science,engineering,medical science and law science.And lastly,it explains the conclusion of the empirical research.The fourth chapter points out the effectiveness and deficiency in enhancing the college students' development,analyzes the causes,and put forward some countermeasures for improvement.The fifth chapter mainly analyzes the countermeasures taken.In this part,the author puts forward some countermeasures and suggestion in promoting the students' external motive forces of development from the respects of upholding the party's education thought,establishing correct educational idea,innovating the mode of students' work,promoting ideological and political education,enhancing students' internal motive forces of development,strengthening the innovation and enterprise education,constructing finance guarantee system and enriching campus cultures.
