The aging of the population is a hot topic of global concern and a serious challenge facing our country. The increase of the elderly population will have a profound impact on social production, distribution, circulation, consumption and regional industrial structure. To this end, government departments have begun to pay attention to the cause of aging and take a series of response or development measures around the elderly's medical care, health care, services, welfare, and social participation.Among them, education,as a public service and livelihood project, has gradually attracted much attention as an important area related to the development of the cause of aging. In the new era,the elderly are relatively healthy and highly educated, and their financial resources are guaranteed. As a result, more and more of them are participating in learning activities, and elderly education is hot."A difficult to register for school" phenomenon is common. Is the “hotness” of old age learning only means the enthusiasm of singing and jumping? What kind of learning do they need? What exactly are their learning needs? The above questions have sparked my interest in studying the learning needs of older people. However, how to study this issue in depth, innovation and logic is obviously worth pondering again and again.Relevant research on the construction of the discipline system of adult pedagogy points out that to focus on and study adult learning,we must first focus on and care about their lives. As a result, research has begun to focus on the living world of older people today. When they walked into their world of life, they found that they were not limited to the present life, but also cherished their longing for a better life in the future. And,in the imagination of a better life, you can vaguely find the trace of learning. Therefore, the study determined the logical idea of "living world-better life-learning needs",that is,starting from the living world, interpreting the beautiful life that they yearned for,and studying the generation of their learning needs. This study takes the elderly as the research group, takes the longing for a better life and the learning needs as the research object, and explores the learning needs caused by the longing for life.In the process of writing,we take the theory of human development as the premise, take the theory of active aging as the direction, take the theory of human needs as the core, and connect with the theory of better life to interpret the current life world of the elderly group and analyze the longing for the better life of the elderly group content and explore the representation of the learning needs of older groups.Based on pre-interviews,the Interview Outline for the Better Life and Learning Needs of the Elderly Group and the Questionnaire for the Learning Needs of the Elderly Group were prepared.In-depth interviews were conducted with70 elderly people and questionnaire surveys were conducted with 1568 elderly people. The data was sorted and analyzed, and it was found that the rich and diverse learning needs of the elderly group originated from the simple and lifelike longing for better life, and the longing for better life was rooted in the diverse and diverse world of life. The findings are as follows:The living world of the elderly is diverse, layered, and the gains and losses go hand in hand.Their living world can be divided into four dimensions: daily life, leisure life, social life, and spiritual life, and these four dimensions are progressive towards the level of human spirit and value. There are both positive and negative factors in their lives,as well as non-positive and non-negative factors. The better life that older people aspire to is life-based,not limited, and just around the corner. The old people's longing for a better life originates from the current living world. The content is an extension of the living world, and the state is the continuation of changes in dissatisfaction and satisfaction in the living world. The forms of expression they expect of a better life are unlimited, and include changes in nature, such as from negative to positive, from restlessness to peace of mind, from tradition to intelligence, from busyness to leisure, from disorder to order, from regret to Dreaming, from sluggishness to diligence, from estrangement to harmony, from alienation to belonging, from submission to challenge, from fear to calmness, from solicitation to dedication;and including increasing degrees, such as from decline to health, from monotonous to colorful,From ordinary to elegant, from scattered to extended. At the same time, the beautiful life they long for is not a long-term,completely transformative life, but a life that can be realized in a short time based on the current conditions. The elderly group believes that learning helps to continuously approach and achieve the better life that they aspire to,and thus creates the need for learning. The learning needs of the elderly group are service life, colorful and progressive. The learning needs of the elderly group point to the realization of a good life.Even if the learning needs are superficially consistent, the better life behind them is not the same. The learning content they need covers all aspects of life,is extremely rich, and there may be many different learning needs for the same elderly person.Their learning needs can be summarized in four levels: adaptive learning needs, leisure learning needs, social learning needs, and transcendent learning needs. It follows the same level as the life world and the good life, and points to the "unfinished" people, complete people, and valuable people. At the same time, their learning needs vary due to factors such as health, economic income, and education. The research returns to the logical judgment of "life as the basis, yearning as the cause, and learning as the path".It is believed that the status quo of the living world of the elderly group has triggered the yearning for a better life.It also points to the realization of a better life. The whole study, taking the life world of the elderly group as the starting point, introduced the intermediary elements of "want for a better life",and opened up a new perspective on the study of learning needs. The research has moved to an operable, surveyable, and analyzable level;it has creatively proposed a hierarchical model of learning needs of the elderly, and tapped the depth of theoretical research in related fields. Finally, the study also calls for the development of the elderly education in the future. The stereotype that seniority equals derogation should be removed in concept. The focus on the construction of resources should focus on the proportion of learning and service life. The environmental construction should leave a path to a better life for the elderly.
