The 19th CPC National Congress made the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy a major decision and deployment and talent revitalization holds the key to rural revitalization.Agricultural colleges and universities bear the responsibility of cultivating high-level concerned talents for the country,but a certain gap remains between postgraduate cultivation in agricultural colleges and universities and the development needs of agricultural science and technology.Specifically,their comprehensive quality has been hardly equal to what national rural revitalization strategy requires for high-end agricultural talents in the new era;and short of evaluation system and promotion path to improve.Backed up by the talent demand orientation of rural revitalization,this thesis conducts a study on comprehensive quality improvement of of agricultural postgraduates and it is of practical significance for the education management organs to carry out talent cultivation and evaluation in the context of implementing the rural revitalization strategy in the new era.This thesis defines the concept and meaning of the comprehensive quality of agricultural postgraduates from the angle of talent demand for rural revitalization and conducts a questionnaire survey on 2000-plus postgraduates in 30 domestic agricultural colleges and universities.Then it gives an in-depth analysis on the student comprehensive quality evaluation of seven agricultural colleges and universities at home through human all-round development theory,human capital theory,multiple intelligences theory and competency theory and the research methods of literature analysis,interview and questionnaire survey,multivariate statistical analysis,analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy evaluation.Next,it systematically analyzes the current situation and existing problems of the comprehensive quality evaluation of agricultural postgraduates and studies concerned influencing factors.Based on the talent quality demand orientation of rural revitalization strategy,this thesis constructs the comprehensive quality evaluation system of agricultural postgraduates,and proposes the path and policy suggestions to improve the comprehensive quality of agricultural postgraduates in the context of implementing the rural revitalization strategy.The research is innovative to an extent:1.It is the first time for this thesis to make a systematic study on the comprehensive quality of domestic agricultural postgraduates.This thesis combs out the development process of students' comprehensive quality education,and investigates the current situation and existing problems of the comprehensive quality of agricultural postgraduates.Comparison with the grouping of engineering,science and management postgraduates found that agricultural postgraduates score averagely higher than their counterparts in learning ability,scientific research motivation,scientific research investment,scientific research process,team cooperation ability,willingness to devote in the cause of “agriculture,rural areas and farmers” and willingness to serve in rural areas after graduation;but averagely lower in humanities and arts,innovation ability,scientific research output(published thesis in school days),psychological quality,communication and expression ability,organization and coordination ability.Additionally,the study concludes that the comprehensive quality of agricultural postgraduates is varying from grade,place of origin and gender,and obtains three factors of the comprehensive quality of agricultural postgraduates: scientific research and innovation quality(F1),social adaptation quality(F2)and ideological and moral quality(F3)through factor analysis and dimensionality reduction.2.This thesis also studies the influencing factors of the comprehensive quality of agricultural postgraduates,analyzes concerned subjective and objective factors of the comprehensive quality of agricultural postgraduates,and builds the regression model of the comprehensive quality of agricultural postgraduates.The research results prove that the comprehensive quality of agricultural postgraduates is mainly subject to personal factors,family training and school training,and the social adaptability quality(F2),ideological and moral quality(F3)of agricultural postgraduates are related to the willingness to devote in the cause of “agriculture,rural areas and farmers”.3.This thesis constructs the comprehensive quality evaluation index system of agricultural postgraduates which is line with the needs of rural revitalization talents.Investigation and research targeting at employers,government education authorities,agricultural colleges and agricultural graduates help to propose the comprehensive quality evaluation index of agricultural postgraduates that which is line with quality needs of rural revitalization talents,backed up by the characteristics of agricultural postgraduates.This thesis makes use of AHP analytic hierarchy to build judgment matrix,determines the weights of each evaluation index,proposes three first-level indexes and twelve second-level indexes,and the builds comprehensive quality evaluation index system of agricultural postgraduates in the context of implementing rural revitalization.What‘s more,this thesis also carries out a case study on the postgraduates of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences by fuzzy evaluation method.4.Standing on the promotion of the comprehensive quality of agricultural postgraduates under the background of implementing rural revitalization,this thesis raises four paths and five strategic suggestions for improving the comprehensive quality of agricultural postgraduates.This will bring positive effects in improving the quality of high-end agricultural talents under the background of implementing national rural revitalization strategy in the new era.
