The rapid development of educational information brings new challenges to secondary vocational school principals,although most schools are actively responding to national requirements, and vigorously promoting the construction of school information,the effectiveness of information application is still poor.How to improve the effectiveness of the school information construction is a problem we should think about.And the information technology leadership of the secondary vocational school principals,as an important factor affecting the effect of school information construction,also plays a more and more important role in it.this paper puts forward the research hypothesis on the functionary mechanism of principal's information technology leadership on their effectiveness of leadership,based on the research status of information technology leadership and leadership effectiveness of principals at home and abroad,then verify the research hypotheses through questionnaires and its data analysis.The information technology leadership and effectiveness of leadership measurement questionnaire mainly refer to the mature measurement scales of domestic research scholars,which has made many supplementations,revisions and improvements based on “The standard of information technology leadership of primary and secondary school principals” and “The standard of professional competence of secondary vocational school principals”.Then use the questionnaire designed in this study,taking Zhejiang Province as an example,an investigation has been inquiries into 103 secondary vocational school principals and management cadres of the information technology leadership and effectiveness of leadership,and having deep interview with two principals and one management cadre among them.Through the method of variance analysis,analyzing the factors such as demographic variables.Using the method of path analysis to verify the hypothesis,and analysis through what path all the sub abilities contained in the information technology leadership has impact on his effectiveness of leadership.The results show that: The secondary vocational school principals information technology leadership and effectiveness of leadership questionnaire has good reliability and validity;There is no significant effect of age,position and place of school on information technology leadership of secondary vocational school principals;All the sub abilities of the information technology leadership of the secondary vocational school principals have an impact on his effectiveness of the information technology leadership,which the ability of information evaluation has the greatest impact;The information technology ability of the secondary vocational school principals has a direct positive impact on his Information planning ability and information organization management ability;Between the information planning ability,information organization management ability and information evaluation ability of secondary vocational school principals,of which have an effect in turn between their three.And both of the three have direct or indirect influence on the principals' effectiveness of information technology leading.At the end of the paper,based on the results of the study,it provides some suggestions for the curriculum content and training model of information technology leadership training for secondary vocational school principals in the future.
