In modern society,human’s material life and economic level are constantly improving,and human nowadays are overwhelmed by the pursuit of materialistic life which becomes the direction of the whole life.However,the economic pursuit of materialization closes the door to the soul,and the process of the pursuit of instrumental rationality covers and alienates the growth of life,bringing about the disorientation of life growth,and gives rise to the feeling of such survival dilemmas in the increasingly affluent material life as environmental pollution,resource depletion,energy shortage,climate change,plague epidemic,desolation of spirit and increased social risk.Therefore,the soul of human which has been exiled urgently needs to return to life itself.Currently,China is in the efforts to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation in the new era,which is a great dream,and which eventually will be implemented into the aspect of modern talent cultivation.That is we need the cultivation of talents who are developed in an all-around way with a unity of body,mind and spirit,and who can find a way out of the dilemma of modernity and solve the modernity problem,which is exactly the important content of ideological and political education in colleges and universities currently,which is the core purport of cultivating modern mans world outlook,outlook on life and values,and which is the due meaning of life education for contemporary college students.There have been many researches in the academic circle,mainly from the pedagogy field to study the theory and practice of college students’ life education.The research results have produced a positive impact in the education practice,however,life education for college students is still confronted with the dilemma of modernity.Modernity is the inevitability of historical development and marks the progress of human society.The numerous problems caused by modernity in life education are unable to think in theory and solve in practice under the vision of modernity.If the view for life of modernity in education is confined,that will be dance in chains.Last century,German philosopher Heidegger reflected on the existence of human and the relationship between man and society,man and nature from the origin of existence,from the criticism of metaphysics of subjectivity,thoroughly criticized unnatural existence state of man.As a result,he analyzed the life pursuit of the there-being of death phenomenon,timeliness,and “poetic dwelling” from the points of view of the ontology of survival theory,and put forward the timeliness of natural life of being towards death,the symbiotic “presence in the world of life” and the ways of life of natural existence of human.On the basis of criticizing Heidegger’s life existence theory,the dissertation reviews the modernity problem and thinks about the current life education for college students.This is the innovation of this dissertation,but also the theoretical motivation of writing.The first chapter is the introduction of the research background,research status and so on;Chapter 2 defines the core concepts,and discusses the Marxist theory of human development and the theory of human development in Xi Jinping’s Thought of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,which is the theoretical basis of the research;Chapter 3 expounds Heidegger’s life ontology and criticizes its value.Heidegger’s life existence theory has positive life education significance,such as emphasizing life existence,highlighting the sense of responsibility,national feelings and national ideals,but its contempt for democracy,neglect of social cultural values,disregard for human rights and so on need to be vigilant;Chapter 4 points out that modern people’s survival difficulties such as natural life apathy,indifferent social life and the lack of spiritual life,and through the investigation,found that there are some problems in college students’ life education,such as formalization,instrumentalization and dissociation;Chapter 5 explores the modernity dilemma of college students’ life education and its root on the basis of Heidegger’s critique of modernity.Colleges,to some extent,have an undesirable tendency which offers the "vocational training" making the young generation separate body and mind and escape the growth of life,which shows insufficient attention is paid to the cultivation of students’ humanistic quality and the meaning of life.To a large extent,the process of being educated for human will become a process to learn to keep away from him,and that of life disorientation for students,that is the forgetting process of nature-existence.The root of this problem lies in the modern dilemmas encountered in the course of college students’ life education,such as the objectification of life cultivation,the utilitarian pursuit of value,the marketization of education development and the abstraction of school education;Chapter 6 on the basis of the previous research,thinking about how to carry out college students’ life education,make life education return to life itself and reshape the meaning of life.In general,this dissertation believes that the current life education for college students in China should be guided by the Marxist theory of all-round development of human beings and Xi Jinping’s thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era,face human life itself,return life education to the true existence of life and cultivate the meaning of life.This not only needs to promote the concept of life education by changing the concept from utilitarianism,enhancing the value from rationalism,and returning to unity from humanitarianism,but also needs to optimize the course of life education and innovate the ways of life teaching,needs to reshape the value of life education and pay attention to the root of life.Life education which is to the true,should pay close attention to the cultural soil of their life growth;enhance the consciousness of the essence of life,to construct a calm and comfortable psychological environment for students;strengthen the symbiotic consciousness between human and nature,human and society,to cultivate their profound sense of responsibility and deep sense of belonging;at the same time,strengthen the cultivation of their life root spirit and faith pursuit,to form a life care consciousness of self-hood and auto-psyche;live a“poetic” life based on “thought”,pursue the lifelong happiness in the poetic dwelling,and build a place to settle down with a robust natural life,ardent social life and full spiritual life.
