The world today is undergoing profound changes unseen in a century. The international division of labor is being reshaped at a faster pace, and challenges in global economic and trade cooperation are increasing, and the new round of scientific and industrial revolution is deepening.China's industrial development model is undergoing profound transformation.Major countries around the world have incorporated reindustrialization into their development plans, trying to seize the commanding heights of the new round of technological and industrial revolution, revitalize the real economy and lead the new development of the world economy. In the great process of reform and opening up,China has continuously accumulated the scale of production and manufacturing, and gradually established its international status as the factory of the world.China's manufacturing is accelerating the transformation and upgrading, and promoting the transformation from a big manufacturer to a strong one.In view of the background of world economic development and China's industrial development plan,it is of great significance to study the tasks and paths of upgrading and governance of China's manufacturing in the global value network. From a macroeconomic perspective, this study constructs a research framework of manufacturing upgrading and governance in the global value network, which is composed of an accounting framework and a system framework.Based on the international inputoutput table structure and social network analysis method, the accounting framework for global value network of manufacturing provides technical support for depicting the pattern of global creation and flow in manufacturing value-added.The system framework for global value network of manufacturing innovatively puts forward three major system entities, including enterprise, industry and government, and three network dynamic mechanisms, including technological innovation, industrial integration and public services. These also show the relationship of national economy and trade in space, which provides theoretical support for the study of manufacturing upgrading and international economic governance. This dissertation, based on social network analysis method, selects data of domestic valueadded in exports from 2005 to 2015.Density and centralization were used to measure the spatio-temporal evolution of network cohesion and heterogeneity, and the cohesive subgroups and block models were used to analyze the global spatial structure and power change of manufacturing, and the multi-dimensional quantitative indicators about centrality power were used to measure the country's core and control force in the field of manufacturing. This dissertation summarizes the current situation of transformation and upgrading of China's manufacturing industry in two aspects: technological innovation and servitization of manufacturing. In the empirical analysis of technological innovation and industrial integration, this dissertation uses dynamic panel model and GMM to investigate the impact of technological innovation on the upgrading of the global value network status of China's manufacturing, and tests the mediating effect based on the independent control of technological innovation.Secondly,a simultaneous equation system is constructed to investigate the impact of servitization of manufacturing on the upgrading of the global value network status of China's manufacturing by using the three-stage least square method, and the heterogeneity of servitization input of the commercial sectors and non-commercial sectors is analyzed.Starting from the governance model of global value chain theory, this dissertation expands and forms the synergistic mechanism between the upgrading of manufacturing and international economic governance, and uses the grey relation analysis method to investigate the coupling synergistic effect between the level of international economic governance and the power status of the global value network of manufacturing to determine the correlation of influencing factors. Finally, from the perspectives of enterprise, industry and government, this dissertation proposes upgrading and governance paths at the domestic and global construction levels respectively. The research results are as follows.First, the world image dominated by China, the United States and Germany has been formed, and China's manufacturing is in the global core area, and the power center is shifting to China.Second, increased R&D spending greatly promotes the technological innovation, and technological innovation powers large-scale output and high-quality production,so as to bring more value-added created by manufacturing products. In the global trade pattern,it has the ability to occupy more market shares, and thus shows a more core position in the global value network of manufacturing, especially the independent control of technological innovation is of great significance.Third, servitization of manufacturing will directly promote international competitiveness of China's manufacturing, and the improvement of international competitiveness will interact with the core of network power status. The servitization of commercial sectors has a more obvious impact on network power status than the servitization of non-commercial sectors.Fourth, government effectiveness has a high correlation with the power status of the global value network of China's manufacturing, and the market business environment has an obvious impact on the international status of China's manufacturing, however, there is a structural imbalance between internal and external economic governance capacity in China.Fifth,China's manufacturing should adopt the strategic choice of internal integration and external connection and build a self-led global manufacturing market to support this strategy, and correctly grasp the organic unity of technological innovation, industrial integration and public service in the upgrading of the global value network of manufacturing.
