Facing up to the background of China's entering WTO, garment industry has a great opportunity to develop further under the help of its remarkable advantages in production scale, production cost, international market share and other aspects. Meanwhile, costume itself has the apparent seasonal ability and short popularity-life cycle. Hence if its market response is slow, garment enterprise will cost very much. Products of many enterprises are only resting on the intermediate links in circulation and not sold in fact, which means that stocks and cash flows prevent them from developing badly. Therefore, a new way, joint distribution, appears. The joint distribution system accords with the trend of multi-type, small-batch in garment products, and makes fast distribution meeting the market requirements, finally realizes the scale economy in transportation. GIS (Geographic Information System) is used to design a reasonable distribution plan, and arrange the optimized distribution route, all of which are able to decrease the logistics cost furthest.Main researches are just as followed:1) Analyzed the development characteristics and the application of logistics technologies in garment industry, and studied the patterns, characters and operation methods of some latest joint distribution, furthermore researched how to apply joint distribution into garment industry. As a result, an applicable joint distribution system is put forward, which is suitable for the garment industry.2) Discussed the available vehicle routing algorithms in joint distribution system, especially some important algorithms fitting for distribution characters in garment industry. And constructed the Mathematical model of the joint distribution system for garment industry by applying the Dijkstra Algorithm and modified Genetic Algorithm.3) Introduced GIS technology and its application in logistics distribution, and then designed the topology structure of road network, and finally set up the joint distribution system for garment industry. The research results are used for references to the garment industry, which is able to optimize resources and decrease logistics cost so as to improve the competition ability of the garment enterprises.
