| Based on analysis of essentiality of Business Operation Model and the extraordinary role the Logistics Port plays in the whole logistics system, author decided to focus on study of the Logistic Port. As the most two significant factors in Logistics Port and the huge contribution they made to the whole area logistics, Selection and Layout are to be studied thoroughly in the following chapters.After giving a brief introduction to the modern logistics, formation of modern logistics concept and the status of logistics industry in Xi'an, author introduced some basic information of Xi'an International Logistics Port, which is composed by general situation of main infrastructure, port's major function if completed and the current project process. According to nature definition and quantity definition for the site selection, author reached a conclusion that the real location and the theoretical location basically match. Through field survey of infrastructure and interior layout of one of the warehouses, author also reached a conclusion of basic match between theoretical analysis and approved blueprint. Furthermore, author also brought up her own perspective to the inappropriate layout of one or two facilities.The leading method of quantity definition is the combination of centroid method and discrete model. Firstly, author determined backup points by using centroid method and then picked out the optimized point by using discrete model and comparative method. The main method of problem analyzing and planning is as followed: firstly author analyzed job flow during the operating and pertinency between operations, secondly author fixed the optimized location and order in all the infrastructures and finally traced out a suitable proposal to optimize the cooperation under all the facilities.Hopefully the author's perspective and method of Site Selection and Layout could help Xi'an International Logistics Port and the investors as a theoretical support and useful reference.
