Ecological Footprint Evaluation Of Regional Sustainable Development System

Under the guidance of the theory of systemization, this paper states the theory of ecological footprint method, and takes Henan Province as an example and gives an emphatic study on the evaluating method and evaluating index system of the ecological footprint method. On the basis of this, the regulation and countermeasures of sustainable development for Henan Province are put forward. In the end of this paper, the author put forward some advise for improving the ecological footprint method in evaluation of regional sustainable development. This paper is divided into four parts:The first part is preface. On the basis of recalling and analyzing the sustainable development studying achievement. The problems are stated in studying of evaluation of the sustainable development at presence.The second part is a theory studying about the ecological footprint method. On the basis of conception expound of ecological footprint, the theories are divided from three parts: fundamental theories and relevant theories .The fundamental theories include the theory of the sustainable development and the theory of the relationship of human and land. Relevant theories include the theory of regional combination and regional coordination, the theory of bearing capacity input-output potential mode and balance sheet mode. In the end the author puts forward mode of RSDS.The third part introduces method of ecological footprint. On the basis of introducing fundament principles and evaluation procedure and evaluation modes, according to the regulation of setting index system, the ecological footprint index system is built.The fourth part is a case study. This part analyzes the problems on PRED of Henan province. On the basis of analysis .the author calculate and analyze the status of sustainable development of Henan Province by applying the method of ecological footprint.The fifth part is argument and improvement of the method of ecological footprint. This part is the key point of this paper. On the basis of the theory studying and case analysis. The author extracts some problems in existence and improves the method of ecological footprint by introducing input-output mode. In the end the author puts forward an evaluating mode, which can give a general evaluation for SD status.The sixth part is conclusion.
