Research On Environmental Education In School Of Preschool Education

Nowadays, the environmental education thanks to the increasingly crucial worldwide environment problem has been one of the study fields under deep concern. Environmental education should begin during the early childhood years as the attitude, emotion and pattern of behavior towards the environment, formed during the early childhood, play an extremely important role in the improvement on the integrated environment quality and even the life-long sustainable development. The development of international environmental education shows that much importance has been attached to environmental education of early childhood and teacher's. School of Preschool Education is the "cradle" of kindergarten teachers, so it is of great academic value and significance to aim at the tendency of international environmental education and do the research on the environmental education in School of Preschool Education.This thesis uses the relevant theories and methods, such as environmental science, pedagogy, psychology and teaching methodology, to make a macroscopic, overall, multi-dimensional and integrated investigation, analysis, and research on the basic theories of environmental education as well as the present situation and the way to deal with it. The research results are as follows:1. By summarizing the developing history of environmental education and environmental education study at home and abroad, an overall recognition concerning the international and national environmental education tendency and the relevant concepts, directions, principles and teaching models are formed, which contributes the theoretical basis of research on the environmental education in School of Preschool Education.2. The following conclusions are drawn by example investigation: at present environmental education has not really started in School of Preschool Education, but it is going on in various degrees in kindergartens. Obviously the later surpasses the former. The overall environmental quality of the students in School of PreschoolEducation is not so satisfactory. Yet the students hold a positive attitude to environmental education, hoping to carry out multi-way teaching methods of environmental education, especially being active in environmental education practice and joining in the activity of environmental protection community. The overall environmental quality of the teachers in kindergarten is better than that of the students in School of Preschool Education. But "the lack of environmental education theories" and "the inadequacy of environment knowledge" are their two main barriers while they put kindergarten environmental education to use. In the current training courses there are some problems, such as the shortage of the characteristics of kindergarten teachers, limited contents, simple teaching techniques and excessively short period of training time.3. The strategy is proposed for the environmental education of students in School of Preschool Education. The thesis constructs an environmental education curriculum system in School of Preschool Education. It mainly includes the principles and basic frame to compile the characteristic textbooks on environmental education, and designs the multi-dimensional environmental education practice activities. An idea is put forward that students' environmental protection community should be the main part to develop implicit curriculum of environmental education in kindergarten normal college and the main measures to develop it are also provided. The evaluation index system of students' overall environment quality in School of Preschool Education is established and the detailed evaluating ways of students' environmental education are designed.4.
