The relation between environmental quality and economic growth is a long-term controversial topic. Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) results from the argument of the relationship between environmental quality and economic growth. Therefore, economic development affecting environment is a hot point study of environmental resource and ecological economics, it is also an important problem which is concerned by environment economist. Taking the Karst District of southwest as a sample, utilizing advanced mathematical tool and theoretical analysis method, this paper analyzing the conditions of economic development and environmental quality in Guangxi province, especially the relationship between technological progress and industry structure and environmental quality and economic growth are analyzed through multianalysis.Firstly, due to the difference of condition of different region and different time, EKC reveals the existence of the stage of environmental road, the developing road. And, to some extent, the development roadmap should be different. We find out that the relationship between economic growth and environmental quality of Guangxi province looks like an M and an inversed-M curve.Secondly, the economic growth route in the last 19 years is based on environmental pollution in certain degree in Guangxi province. But the road of environment and economy is not a harmonious one. It seems that the model of development"highly increase, highly pollution"is obviously unfeasiable in the long run.Thirdly, the future of environmental flux in Guangxi province is largely depends on policy tendency. In terms of our prediction, it is high time that we protected environment. Environmental Kuznets curve is only a probability not but an inevitability. At last, the factors of affecting environmental Kuznets curve include not only GDP per capita, but also technological progress and industry structure. We find out both technological progress and industry structure have a great effect on EKC by regression analysis.
