Crank-Flying shear is comprised of crank,connecting rod and blades up and down,rocker mechanism and so on. Drive shafts from top to bottom are operated by low-speed shafts of cylinder gear reducer, therefore cut from top to bottom is synchronized. Flying shear in Wuxi Weihua Machinery Co. Ltd is analyzed as a model in this paper. The structure of the Crank-Flying shear and a force analysis have researched, finally calculated the maximum shear force position, and then done kinematics and dynamics analysis. The kinematics analysis of shear structure mainly includes the running track,velocity and acceleration of flying shear cut edge. The dynamics analysis of shear structure mainly includes the calculation of the maximum shear force,shear angle and shear power, which provides the basis for choosing motor.Designing flying shear requires that the shear blade from top to bottom and running steel plate roughly have the same velocity in horizontal direction, and as far as possible uniform speed. The track curve of cutting-edge should be flat as much as possible in order to reduce the impact and improve the quality of steel plate. In this paper, the shear body have optimized according to the analysis results with Matlab and drawn the blade track curve before and after the optimization. Through the comparison of the track curve, it can provide reference for designing this kind of flying shear.This paper has also established mathematical model of dimensional manufacturing error affecting on the track precision of the flying shear blade and found its influence disciplinarian with Matlab. It provides some guiding meaning for designing flying shear properly and improving the track comprehensive accuracy.The shear process of flying shear has done finite element numerical simulation with Deform 3D.Through the process of simulation analysis , we have a better understanding of various equipment parameters or process parameters on the quality of steel plate processing, such as plate thickness, shear speed, different plate materials, as well as blade fillet. It provides a good example that utilizing the FEM simulation method in steel plate cutting has great potential.At the end of this paper, the rack of flying shear has been done a stress and strain analysis with Ansys, a finite element analysis software. Then I found the weak points of the rack and advanced some corresponding measures.Through a preliminary study of flying shear, it lays the foundation for further study in the future, and can also be used in practice, so it has certain theory significance in guiding our work.
