With cationic polymer as a dispersing agent prepared with cationic ultra-fine pigment dispersion has many advantages, such as stability, rendering high intensity, pure colors, with negative charge has a strong force on the fabric which has negative charge. This topic use BA, St and cationic monomer D as the raw material, through the radical polymerization reaction to prepare cationic polymers. Use cationic polymers and C. I. Pigment 170 prepare cationic ultra-fine pigment system by high-pressure high shear Micro-jet mill. Investigate the circulating number of micro-jet and the amount of cationic polymer impact on the system stability; observation the state of the cationic ultra-fine pigment by TEM. The cationic ultra-fine pigment was used to dye pure cotton fabrics by padding method. The influence of Zeta potentials and the amount of binder on the dyeing properties was investigated and analyzed by scanning electronic microscope. The cationic ultra-fine pigment was dye pure cotton fabrics by direct dip method. Dyeing technology of cationic pigment dispersions and the concentration of cationic pigment on the dyeing properties were investigated.Resulting in S / B / D for the 3/1/8 of the appropriate monomer ratio, SBD intrinsic viscosity for the 2.34 mL / g, the hydrophilic monomer D content of 68.45%. In high-pressure high shear Micro-jet cycle 30, the coating size is 217.7nm; cationic ultra-fine pigment dispersion performance and stability are good. Dye pure cotton fabrics by padding method, higher Zeta potentials gave higher color strengths, brightness and color fastness. At low concentrations, the cationic pigment particles were distributed individually on the surface of cotton fiber. At higher concentrations, the cationic pigment particles got together forming a piece like material. Comparing with anionic pigment dispersions cationic pigments exhibited higher color strength and color fastness especially at higher color depth, which could be used to dye deep pigment colors. Dye pure cotton fabrics by direct dip method, dyeing technology of cationic pigment dispersions: bath ratio:1:50, temperature at 80℃for 160 minutes. Cationic pigment concentration is less than 3.5 (o.w.f), the dye percentage all higher than 97%. when the pigment concentration is 1.0%(o.w.f), dye-uptake is 99.40%, K/S is 7.33, dry fastness is 3~4, wet rubbing is 2~3, soaping fade fastness is 4~5, soaping staining fastness is 5. The cationic pigment particles were distributed individually on the surface of cotton fiber, adhesives treated cotton fibers, on the surface to be showing adhesives have been wrapped in cationic pigment particles. From standard deviation and the margin limit of K/S, dyeing uniformity of cationic pigment is good.
