The NO.1 steel mill of XinSteel must be in front of information management.The paper takes design and development course of MES system running in the NO.1 steel mill of XinSteel as background.It mainly introduces the realization of several key techniques involved in design and development course.The problem of optimization in database is a topic very concerned for craft brother and a key technique exerted in database.The MES system in the NO.1 steel mill of XinSteel manages data through adopting the Oracle 9i database.This paper researched the optimization technique in Oracle 9i database in practice,and realized the database optimization to the maximum;On the whole one system's capability is excellent or inferior is in close relationship with system's framework,and around the problem of adopting which framework, the B/W/D There Layer System Framework is adopted finally,having contrasted in pratice for time after time; Data collection is an important resource of database table's iriginal informations,and whether the data conllected are exact or not decides the nicety ratio of data transmited to user around the problem of data collection,we decided to adopt the OPC technique to collect data finally, having contrasted in pratice for time after time.
