With the development of manufacturing industry, factory automation solution plays a more and more important role in the production process. Through the analysis of thin-film solar panel factory automation solution, the paper designed and implemented the production scheduling system.This paper first analyzes the factory automation technology and the scheduling problem in semiconductor production lines. Then, aiming at the specific features of the thin-film solar production line, the paper proposes a strategy based on the manufacturing execution system and equipment automation program. In the proposal, a rule-based scheduling strategy for obtaining scheduling destinations is adopted on the basis of manufacturing execution system. Through creating oracle database table and writing response functions based on equipment automation system, monitoring the materials handling system in real time is implemented. The proposal also brings up a hash table and linkedlist based algorithm which chooses the optimum move commands according the real state of materials handling system and transfers the panels to the scheduling destinations.The testing result shows that the system effectively improved the production efficiency of the production line to achieve the fully automated production line to meet the customers and market needs.
