Manufacturing Execution System (MES)is a management information system for the workshop layer, which is located in the production manufacturing process between the upper layer of plan management and the lower layer of industrial control.This paper is based on the conceptual framework of Manufacturing Execution System, aiming at discrete manufacturing workshop, researching the key technical of Manufacturing Execution System, to get the objective of data information sharing and reduces manufacturing cycle, and so as to enhance enterprise production efficiency. The main contents are as follows.1)The present situation and development trend of Manufacturing Execution System are simply introduced. Then the study states of workshop production management issues for discrete manufacturiing are analyzed, and inadequate problems which need to be improved for the workshop manufacturing management are summarized. Considering on the features and status of the discrete manufacturing workshop production management, workshop production management system for discrete manufacturing is analyzed and designed particularly.2) Single-objective job-shop scheduling problem is mainly elaborated. In this paper, an overview of job-shop scheduling problem is showed, the contents of ant colony algorithm theory are introduced, mathematical model for discrete job-shop scheduling is established focu-sedly, the solving process of ant colony algorithm for the single-objective job-shop scheduling problem is researched, graphical display problem for the results of job-shop scheduling is desc-ribed, and then the advantages of ant colony algorithm for solving job-shop scheduling problem are verified by examples.3)On the base of the research for single-objective job-shop scheduling problem, multi-objective job-shop scheduling problem is studied. The mathematical theory related to multi-objective job-shop scheduling problem is introduced, the solving process for multi-objective job-shop scheduling problem is described, and the effectiveness of the algorithm for multi-objective job-shop scheduling problem is verified by the case analysis. 4) The key technologies and applications for the workshop production management system are decrisbed mainly. Generation technology of dynamic structure tree, reports generation technology based on Web, data and information management based on JSP technology are researched, and then the main achievement pages of the system are given.5)Finally, the work contents of the full text are summarized and the future research contents are put forward.
