The Study Of The Modernisation Of Public Facilities In Traditional Residential Area

Contemporary Scholars of hermeneutics Gadamer said:"The traditions we have inherited is not a modern or ready-made thing, but is created out by our own. Because we have come to the understanding of the progress of the traditions and participate in it, which make further requirements of the traditional on our own."Tradition is not static copy but it is the fundamental to a nation. With the economic development in today's society, people's lifestyles had been changed, the only interests/intension of the developers is those profits and they have set their next target on those traditional residential neighbourhoods. It has become a chaos to those residential areas, chaotically constructs and even large area reconstruction of blocks,"Historical Context"start to fading and "Traditional" is slowly vanishing. So how to improve the living environment of traditional residential area quality with such situation becomes the most priority. Also the renovation of public facilities in traditional residential neighborhood is especially important.Thesis did a detail investigation on the traditional system of public facilities in residential area and an in-depth analysis from the perspective of history and culture, current status, cause and impact. The analysis did a comparison of two case studies of domestic and foreign country, before and after the renovation, measurement of government and the designer and the inspiration during renovation.The final chapter is the focus of this thesis, how to update/renovation/redevelop? Base on the willing power to renovate of public facilities'system, the relevant theoretical and practical, it come to a proposed principles and methods for renovating. Traditional residential area had disappeared and there is no sense of belonging to people. Yuguo had wonderful peerless description in his poem: how many person have been lingering the dream in their heart, people had been moved or love or hate it, and It cannot be miss out this touching element. In the article, it bring out the renovation and re-combination of the traditional elements, on the other hand it also put on the idea from two-dimension to three-dimension system as a whole, unified integration of public facilities, creating new and historical context of modern public facilities.
