Research On Comprehensive Evaluation And Strategies Of Preservation And Renovation Of Garden Historic Districts In Harbin

Garden historic district is an important historical remain and has a strong historical information authenticity. It has historical, social, cultural and the economical comprehensive value. And it was once a beautiful landscape. However, with the accelerating process of urbanization, it gradually declined. Despite we have discussed about its revival or updates many times for years, for various reasons, the district is still buried in the garbage and abuse construction, difficult to reveal its original style.Success and failure experience in the practice home and abroad shows that comprehensive evaluation is the premise for scientific and rational protection and updated strategies.This article firstly introduces the basic principles and methodologies of the historic districts preservation, as well as the basic theory of evaluation, then analyses exist related cases of comprehensive evaluation of historical and cultural heritage. Then, the author combines the existing evaluation system, establishes a comprehensive evaluation system on Garden historic district. On the basis of a lot of investigations to the Garden Street, the author takes a whole, comprehensive and integrated evaluation. At last, according to the evaluation results, the author proposes the protection and updated strategies of the Garden historic district.In the comprehensive evaluation of the Garden historic district, the comprehensive evaluation system includes characteristic value, original saving conditions, as well as protection and development conditions, which shows the constitute elements evaluation, current characteristics evaluation, environment constitution elements evalution and so on. This article uses the quantitative methods as centre, and includes multi-model composite studies.Qualitative evaluations contains mainly statistical analysis methods, and AHP analysis methods to determine the weight of every index, then gets the scores of every value.On how to apply the evaluation results to protection and updated strategies,the article starts from the essence of the protection and updated, on the basis of the comprehensive evaluation, and takes detailed statistics and comprehensive analysis to the evaluation, then proposed different protection and updated strategies to different evaluation results, including function replacement, protection and utilization of the building and the environment and facilities improvement, as well as the protection management strategies and so on.
