Research On The Southern Dong Nationality's Traditional Settlements In Southeast Of The Guizhou Province

The traditional settlements of Dong nationality located in southeast Guizhou province are more and more attracting public attention. As the traditional settlements' touring of the Dong nationality became one of the "Three touring-themes" in Guizhou touring industry, greater changes will take place in the Dong traditional-settlements. Therefore, collecting and evaluating of the traditional architecture culture of the Dong-settlements is essential in making Protection and Development Planning of the Dong-settlements.Because of historical and geographic reasons, The southern Dong-settlements in southeast Guizhou province keep more original characters of the Dong nationality. Further more the settlements" layout and architecture culture are more special compared with other minor nationalities in Guizhou, such as Miao. Shui and Buyi nationality. So the thesis focuses on environment and architecture of the Dong-settlements, and tries to analyze the meaning and value of the architecture of the southern Dong nationality in southeast of Guizhou.
