Research On Traditional Settlement's Regional Character And Modern Enlightenment Of Dong Nationality In Southeast Region Of The Guizhou Province

The Dong nationality located in southeast of Guizhou province comes into being for tribes migrates. During the course of the formation and development of the traditional culture, Dong nationality culture faces the transformation, collision and amalgamation. With the history changes, Dong nationality forms a tribe that has special and independent culture gradually. Its originality shows in the construction of essence space "stockaded village and traditional architecture" except habits and customs, food and drink, language, clothes and ornaments etc. The traditional architecture and habitation of Dong nationality located in southeast Guizhou province are m ore and more attracting public attention. Therefore, collecting and evaluating of the traditional architecture culture of the Dong-settlements is essential in making Protection and Development Planning of the Dong- architecture and habitation.Because of historical and geographic reasons, the Dong stockaded village and settlements in southeast of Guizhou province keeps more original culture characters, especially the stockade layout and building shape. The research on the form and development of the Dong nationality cultures circle in the social historical culture background from the point of sociology, anthropology, ethnology, archaeology, historical geography and architecture, the traditional architecture and habitation of Dong stockade village, the culture collection and arrangement have realistic meanings and important significance. This paper analyses the traditional architecture and habitation of the Dong nationality, attempt to express the connotation and value of Dong traditional stockade village and architecture.The dissertation is composed of seven chapters:Chapter1 introduces the background, basic theories, object and range, purpose and frame of the dissertation's research.Chapter2 introduces environment character, history change, economic development and social organization of Dong stockaded village start with the region environment of Dong stockaded village in the southeast of Guizhou Province.Chapter3-5 analyses the natural factor, social factor and human factor of traditional Dong stockaded village form and development through the process of origin, development and evolvement, the clue is the relationship between nationality, religion, living environment and mainland settlement in southeast of Guizhou province, and then emphasizes the traditional stockaded village and the architectural character and distribution, space art of public architecture and the architecture character of Dong residence. Form the view of architecture design, analyses the space construction of the Dong residence and its embodiment of the architecture model language and unique regional sight imagination character。Chapter6 through a lot of investigation, analyses and explains the direction and method of the modern and regional design. combining the regional culture connotation with the applicability technology of traditional stockaded village in the southeast of Guizhou province, express the enlightenment of creation in the future of Dong Nationality.Chapter7 explores the new region architecture inditing inspiration owing to the hill country architecture headed by Dong residence, and combines a case of architecture design practice to illustrate it.
