Facing with the violent market competition, it is urgent for corporations that how to reduce the designing period, improve the quality of the production, and improve the corporation's core competition ability. Author studies the virtual manufacturing technology and we successfully develop a system of the performance of the counterbalance electric forklift truck. This system will help us realize the whole process of virtual forklift's manufacturing.First, author introduce the background, development and application of the virtual manufacturing technique . And then, the author sets forth the key technique of the virtual forklift's manufacturing-the global performance designing system of the counterbalance electric forklift truck. Besides, the author also touches upon the correlative technology which is used in the virtual manufacturing technology such as CAD, optimization methods.In the article, we will study the counterbalance electric forklift truck which is made in Anhui Heli Forklift Group. In order to accomplish the global performance of the forklift truck, the author founds the mathematical model of the stability calculation, driving capability calculation, lifting capability calculation through the trials, design experience and national criterions. And then, the author carries out the mathematical model with the Delphi language and makes it a release software. With the software, the engineers can accomplish the performance of the counterbalance electric forklift truck, judge the result according to the requirement, save or output the result, optimize the main parameters of the forklift truck-wheelbase and counterbalance weight. At the same time, the result of the performance parameters of the electric forklift can be combined with the 3D design software, that is to say, the result can be shown in the 3D design model.
