In this paper, a process auto-programming and simulation system is established under Windows environment according to the production-oriented and customer-oriented principle. The system is based on a typical flexible manufacture experiment system.At the beginning of the paper, the flexible manufacture experiment system is studied carefully, and the overall structure of the system is designed which based on the intrinsic software. As a integrated system, the process auto-programming and simulation system is composed of five modules, in which the first and the last modules are the system software intrinsic modules. The paper designed the other there modules: process plan, route plan and scheduler. And the paper also designed simulation function which can run the system virtually. At the last, the system is integrated entirely.In order to manage and transfer data for the process auto-programming and simulation system, the database technique is adopted. Paper constructed a database. It is very important for the entire system.The concrete design of the process auto-programming and simulation system is presented in detail. The process plan module includes input of part information, translation between the part information and database, and auto creation of sequence files; The route plan module can design the part route on some shop floor, and the bill of processes also can be auto created. In the scheduler module, it will schedule and optimize the ranking of parts which is based on the machining task. In addition, paper established simulation for the running system.The test of the auto-programming and simulation system and the running of the flexible manufacture experiment system prove the system has reached its design requirement. The system has a friendly user interface and complete functions. And it can be extended according to the practical requirement as to meet the experiment use.
