During the development of our country in the past decades of years, there were great improvements in the railway facilities and technology. The rapid development of the railway network has been giving impetus to the economy of our country. On this ground, stable work of the railway vehicles plays an important role in the development of our country and the stability of people's life.The railway vehicles have to be checked over periodically so that they can work safely. In this way, we can discover and solve the new problem in time so that we can not only insure the safety of people's life and wealth but also keep up with the pace of improvement of the international advanced railway system.Checking over the wheel pairs is an important task. As vehicles drive on the wheel pairs, if the wheel pairs go wrong, it would be dangerous for both the vehicles and the people's lives. Therefore, maintenance of the wheel pairs is a significant work for the railway vehicles. When this task is carried out, the wheel pairs should be dismantled from the vehicles, the assembly condition and data should be recorded and the result would be analyzed.In this thesis, the design of disassembly and assemblage auto-control system for the wheel pairs of the railcar is carried out with a view to four parts: the design of the machine tools, the fluid drive workstation, the electrical control system and the design of computer control system. The auto-control software is developed in the Borland C++ Builder 6 system by the guidance of software engineering.The data have been carefully recorded and analyzed after the system was put into work. Great attention has been putting into two aspects: the precision of auto control and the electromagnetic interference. A series of ameliorated methods are proposed in this thesis for improving the reliability of the auto control system.Although the automation of the disassembly and assemblage for the wheel pairs of railway vehicles has been working successfully in the railway system, more defects might occur in the future long-term working. In this case, we should keep on ameliorating the auto-control system under the guide of theories and practice experience.
