Evaluation Of WISCO Ironstone Port Logistics System Projects

Logistics system evaluation is an essential part of logistics system project and it can provide bases to system optimization and decision-making.The ironstone port of WISCO is a consignor-owning port taking on the import of ironstone. The amount of importing ironstone of WISCO is increasing. So correct evaluation of its logistics system and the projects is very important for the optimization and decision-making of WISCO ironstone port.This paper is mainly about the evaluation of the unloading and warehousing system of WISCO ironstone port.The theory of logistics system evaluation and several kinds of main integrated evaluation method studied first in the paper is applied with the practice of WISCO ironstone port to decide the aim, content, element, and steps of the evaluation. Then according to the principle of setting up the evaluation index system and considering the port practice, the 4-level evaluation index system is established. And the definition of all the index is given clearly in this paper. Next the calculate method of each index is studied and the calculating formulae are enumerated. Especially, fuzzy maths is applied in the calculation of qualitative index. Another point of this paper is the calculation of each index weight and for this point the Analytic Hierarchy Process and expert survey is applied. After getting the index weight and giving each index a value, the reverse index is handled to the positive index and all the index are standard. As the last step of this evaluation, the weighted average of all the standard index value is given as the integrated evaluation value.On the base of the evaluation results of different logistics system project above, all the projects are compared each other to confirm the better one and provide basis for decision-making.
