Cabin, the heart of ships, is the main noise source of a ship which makes the working environment in it very abominable. And it causes more danger to stay there because of the high radius radiated by the nuclear power in the cabin. In the sixties of the 20th century the unmanned cabin is developed to meet the need. And with the improvement of technology of the computer, a lot of work has been done to give the unmanned cabin the new conception combined with integration, information and virtual reality.Vision simulation technology is applied to the control of the unmanned cabin in this paper from which way problems like real-time of the system and the high integration of information and reality realizing of the cabin without guard are solved perfectly. Vision simulation concerns technologies such as the computer graph, multimedia, artificial intelligence, man-machine interface, the sensor, parallel calculations.Three-dimension model is built to form the virtual reality system which is optimized for the model and the virtual scene and the disposition of the action scene. Also the driving code for the models is optimized. Because of the limitation of the conditions, the changing materials procedure is mainly studied under the virtual reality environment in this paper which occurs in the nuclear power cabin's core pile. And it's proved by the three-degree physics TV station shelf that the procedure is of high feasibility. This work is done though three main steps: Firstly, design and machine and assemble the physics model of the shelf; Secondly, build up the three-dimension model of lifeboat and wrecked boat and use Vega, the 3D simulation software, to demonstrate the whole course of the lifesaving which is combined with the production of the real sea floor terrain and can be observed from different angles; Lastly, the simulation workspace is connected to the network to form the simultaneous movement of the real model and the virtual reality system. It is proved that the application in the unmanned cabin is feasible. The applications of virtual reality technology in the unmanned cabin provide the guards with the ocular, three-dimensional, real-time control to situation of the cabin which highly improves the operating accuracy and security and reduces guard's labor intensity.
