The stressed skin diaphragms is a structural system that consider profiled sheet ofroof and metope working with framework and purling. With widely applying of profiledsheet, it is not only reflect the working of structure but also obtain benefit that consideringthe ability resistance to shear of profiled sheet in the plane itself.On the base of studying the experiment method and research progeny of the stressedskin diaphragms, connection performance and shear behavior of stressed skin diaphragmsthat made of the material often used in country connected by the self-tapping screws isstudied in this paper. In this paper, the material model of the stressed skin diaphragms wasalso analyzed by the "ANSYS"software.Three parts in this paper of experiment and theory will be presented:The first part is the experiment of fifty-four jointing pieces connected by theself-tapping screws. Through the experiment data researching and analyzing, variousmodulus effect the connection performance, effective diameter of jointing pieces, destructmode and the calculate method of loading capacity and rang of shear rigidity value ispresented, insuring connection performance measures is also presented in the part.The second part is the experiment of the stressed skin diaphragms. Three specimensis made of Polyurethane sandwich wall panel, the specimen size is 2.74x2.0m. Throughobserving destruct mode of the specimen and the strain data of the connected point allaround the specimen and seam of board, the stress state of connected points and profiledsheet around of the points is presented, the "P-Δ"curve of the stressed skin diaphragms isalso presented. The effect of skin diaphragms that made of general used boards andconnect method is analyzed, some suggestions are presented in the part.The third part is analyze the shear capacity; shear rigidity and structure distortion ofthe stressed skin diaphragms used the "ANSYS"software. The analyzed value and theexperiment value are inosculated.
