The evolvement of GIS in the world and in our country is analyzed, and theproblem in the evolvement of the electric power system GIS is introduced as wellas future development direction--WEBGIS, and a kind of according to technicalsolution of WEBGIS of SVG is put forward, combining the electric power systemGIS present condition, in this dissertation. The project adopts SVG technology toshow the electronic map data, and store the space data and the attribute data ofSVG form in WEBGIS server and Oracle9i database respectively. It operates thespace data and the attribute data through JSP and JavaScript technology, andconveys the result to client. This system unifies the form of electrical powersystem space data, and realizes the demonstration and inquiry of attribute data onthe Web browser, in a word, it may meet electrical power system WEBGISpractical application's need.
