Analysis On Characteristic Of Urban Public Leisure Space In The New Emerging Industrial City

The public spaces of different urban quality load quite different function and the characteristic. But at present, most urban design concentrated on the conservation and construction of the famous historic cultural cities and the historic blocks. In comparison, the studies on the public leisure space of the new emerging industrial city are relative deficient. Then, this study takes citizen leisure as the study view angle, carries on the analysis on the characteristic of urban public leisure spaces in the new emerging industrial city, including using subjects characteristic and using way characteristic, which are basic premise and the important foundation of the urban planning and design. It is expected that the truly "the humanized" urban design can be achieved through constructing the characteristic urban public space in order to highlight modern civic culture and the vivid citizen life. In the thesis, the typical new emerging industrial city —Baotou is taken as key investigation city, and the urban public leisure squares are selected, which are the most representative urban public space, as the main study object. Through the massive public investigation and questionnaires on the spot, the using way characteristic of Baotou public leisure space are analyzed from the subject characteristic who use urban public leisure space in the new emerging industrial city - Baotou, on the main basis of a large number of investigates and investigational questionnaires. Then the citizens POE (Post-Occupancy Evaluation) are analyzed in detail. And finally the characteristic in the new emerging industrial urban public leisure space are summarized.The different urban quality is one of the main reasons of different urban characteristic of public leisure space. To the urban public leisure space in the new emerging industrial city, the citizen's using demands are more important than the simple look;and from the angle of the using subjects, the using subjects' demands on the psychology and the culture should be satisfied;and from the angle of urban spaces layout, public leisure spaces are wanted the uniform distribution, designed the reasonable service radius;and from the angle of spatial design, public leisure spacesmust be reasonably divided into the different active areas, in order to satisfy the diversification leisure demands of the citizen;and last, from the angle of function, public leisure spaces must be paid great attention to support the citizen using demands and to strengthen urban image of industrial city.
