Study On Built Environment Post-Occupancy Evaluation(POE)Method Combining Subject Differentiation And Its Applications

The core of built environment post-occupancy evaluation(POE)is to assess the people satisfaction comforability with the occupancy process of the building and its environemtn.The researchers improve the built environment through analyzing evaluation information,and enhance their capability of responsing people.Therefore,the key of the study is people’s requirement for built environment and the relationship between the two.Thus,it is indispensable to gain some insight into the subject,i.e.people,during the evalution information collection and analysis.During the feedback to the usage of built environment,even in the same type or the same built environment,different subjects will inevitably provide different evalution opinions.These differences result from physiological and psychological diversity,which lead to the different requirements and interactions with built environment.Moreover,these differentiations can have significant influence on the evaluation results.If these differentiations can be reasonably used,the research levels of built environment can be enhanced,the study of built environment POE can be enriched,and the support and suggestion for humanization design would be provided.Thereby,it is advocated in this thesis that the study on the evaluation subject should be emphasized in built environment POE,and the the subject differentiation should be reasonably used for the purpose of evaluation.The thesis teased the subject performances during the POE through the comprehensive analysis of their differentiations.The dimensions of evaluation subjects were summarized,and the discussion focused on the analysis method to the built environment occupancy using the evaluation opintions provided from different subjects.The research process involved the knowledge and methodology of evaluation science,sociology,philosophy,psychology and statistics.The POE mode,which concerned the subject differentiation,was estabilished combining the previous achievements.In this study,the achievements on the theory and methodology were applied in the practical cases.The understanding to the subject differentiation was strengthened,and the application effect of the evaluation mode in the built environment POE was verified.In addition,this study also aims to explore the PEO development in the information age.Therefore,the big data technology applied in the architecture was briefly introduced,and the text mining and network evaluation were selected as the main discussion directions.With respect to the subject differentiation,the difference between network and traditional evaluations was analyzed,and the effects of their combination and supplement were discussed.This thesis mainly studies and discusses based on the following four parts.First,the selection and significance of the project were elaborated.The background,purpose,methods and contents of the research were summarized and extracted,and the logical structure of the whole research was proposed.The second part mianly focuses on the theoretical research of the subject differentiation.Through the relevant basic theory investigation on built environment POE,the importance of subject research was explicated.Combining the individually physical and psychological characteristics,the source of subject differentiation on buildings and other man-made environment was analyzed,and then the dimensions of the subject differentiation were summarized.In addition,the combination mode of multi-subject opintions was extracted from the different situations of subject opintion analyses.On this basis,according to the logical relationship of subject classification and combination,the evaluation modes of subject differentiation which can be applied to built environment POE were extracted.The third part is the comprehensive application of the theoretical research.The purpose is to certify the validity and reliability of the evaluation modes.The satisfaction evaluation of the historic and cultural block users was comprehensively applied in the subject differentiation research.In this process,through the combination of two block users’ opinions via supplement mode,contrast mode and progression mode,the existing problems and referential design advantages were analyzed.Meanwhile,the subject differnetiaiton amongst the users was discussed,and it is observed that the subject differentiation had significant influence on the evaluation results.The fourth part is the application study focusing on three subject differentitaitons,i.e.the character difference,the knowledge system difference and the subject opinion access difference.First,the deepening on the satisfaction evaluation of historic and cultural block users focused on the character difference.Combining different subject opinions using enhancement mode and contrast mode,the judgement and requirement of different user characters for the block environment were analyzed.Second,the subjects were classified into the common user and the experts in the application study focusing on the knowledge system difference.The evaluation index mode for the historic and cultural block was obtained through combining two types of subject opinions.Then the tendentious opinions on the block protection and development from two types of subjects were compared.Third,the difference between network and traditional evaluations was emphasized in the application focusing on the subject opinion access.Meanwhile,it is also the exploration of built environment POE development in the information age.The significance of this study is to emphasize the importance and necessity of the subject differentiation.In order to facilitate the application,the logical relationships of the subject differentiations and combination modes were collated.This study supplements the theory and practical method of built environment POE.It can facilitate the integration with the information technologies,and provide supports for the development of future built environment POE.
