Study On Parking Problem Of Private Car For The Ubarn Residential Areas

In recent years, with the sharp development of economy and the steady increase of people's living standards in our country, purchasing private cars has become a hot topic of consumption. The coming of private cars into family is an inevitable consequence of the development of the society and the economy, and the trend can't be stopped.However, with the rapid popularity of having a private car in Chinese cities, a series of problems caused by cars have emerged seriously and observably.: such as driving difficutly and parking unfacilitably. Particularly in urban residential areas, parking problems have caused intense contradictory and effects in people's life. How to solve this problem and how to build the harmony dwell environment for man and car has been an immediate duty to us.The paper just aims at solving the parking problem. Based on massive investigations in Xi'an , the paper analyzes four typical communities current situation emphatically, which let truth talks. According to the parking problem existing in each community, the paper makes a series of analysis and contrast, and then sums up the major reasons of causing parking problems. These investigation works are very important, they can provide the reliable basis of reference for the paper and those who will study such problem further.The paper adopts the approaches of on-site investigation and data collection. The paper borrows some results and conclusions from other researches, but the more important is the possible settlements acquired through on-site investigation and data collection. According to the basic investigations and using for reference of other countries on parking problem, the paper suggest that parking index should be considered in many ways, and proposes new community planning models which corresponding the coming of private cars. The basic aim of this paper is the effort of founding a set of reliable basic reference and thinking method for parking index system further studied, and searching for the method on solving parking problem in new urban residential area.
