The Technical Study On Materials And Construction Of Steel Structure's Envelop

The self- excellent capability and unique esthetics make the steel structure be thechosen of modern architecture developments. In information era, steel assembled metaland glass is the representation of the building envelop technique and exact transparentappearance becomes the technique sign of envelop in steel structure. Along with thechange of the structure and the materials architects must change from the unitary designconceive to technique construct details which distinguish from the designs of brick- stoneand concrete structure project.The whole thesis presents the sides hereinafter at length. The sides conclude suchas different types of steel structures, the materials and construct details of entity walls, thechoose of floor hierarchy, the roof materials and construct details especially metal andmembrane roof in long-span buildings, curtain wall fireproofing,the aesthetic feeling andtransparency of curtain wall based on materials and construct details, and other techniquesides which deeply impact on envelops such as steel corrosion- resist, steel fireproofingand heat preservation. At the same time, the author also takes the Super Low EnergyConsumption Building in Tsinghua University for example to present intelligentinsulation envelops.The author research on the steel envelop and products from manufactory, builderand other technical aspects. The detail work is to survey and compare the civil materialsand details to overseas, to dig the fitful applications especially the combination of steelwith metal and glass, to seek the envelop systems adapt to our country development andtry to provide architect more envelop choices to fit with steel structure design. Meanwhilethe bareness of steel components brings some difficult problems which deeply impact onthe appearance of steel structure such as cold bridge, firefight and fireproofing. The papertries to set up a relative integrate design means to leach and renew technical and estheticprinciple through those research on technique which impacts heavily on steel structure.
