Highway route decision-making, as an important content of road construction general planning, Scientific and reasonable chosing the best route scheme plays an important role in reducing project construction costs, assuring traffic safety, promoting substantial development of region society economy and environment protection. However, nowadays the decision-making process of factual planning is lack of scientific decision-making and objectivity, pursing the linear indicator and construction costs one-sidely, which leads to the ignorance of influence of environment. Therefore, aiming at the existing problems of present highway route decision-making, the dissertation provides technique support for a scientific, reasonable and efficient highway route decision-making by forming relevant decision-making models and integrating with GIS to realize the highway route decision-making based on GIS.Firstly, on the basis of decision-making model and theoretical knowledge concerned, through the analysis of route selection principles and methods, this thesis sets up a scientific highway route auxiliary decision-making model. In the comprehensive routes ranking, the dissertation first puts forward the decision-making indicator system for selecting the best route plan, which is composed of three critical factors of technical factors, area analysis and environment effects, and fifteen indicators. Then in accordance with the character of ranking issue, the idea of combination decision has been brought forward, which use two ranking way(TOPSIS and AHM) to synthetically rank for highway routes. The synthetical weights of the each model are based on hierarchy analysis considering not only subjective partiality but also the intrinsic information of decision objects, which makes the ranking results more scientific, reasonable and reliable.Secondly, in compliance with the technical features and designing principles of database, specific spatial database designment of the highway route decision-making based on GIS has been carried out: the database adapts relational data model and use SDB data engine provided by the Supermap Objects to conduct the database construction and management;The data is gained from existing terrain map, and a special data transferring mode is set to transfer DXF terrain map files to Dataset in Supermap Objects;Data support should be provided in constructing formalization decision-making matrix for decision model with the purpose to perfect data base, provide human-computer interactive interface, mend attribute chart structure, edit attribute figure of the special element object.
