The airplane cockpit design based on ergonomics can provide to the pilot the comfortable driving posture, good flight field of vision and reasonable controller layout. Thus causes the pilot to complete the aerial mission effectively and safely, indirectly enhances the airplane's performance. The article take the ergonomics as the foundation, conducts the research to the various parts of cockpit design and the overall layout. Human body model is established by the analysis of human body's osseous system. Then our country's pilot model is generated in JACK software. The arithmetic contains three parts: the lower and upper limb's movement chain' solution; analyzes between cockpit reference points while human joint angle is comfortable; the calculation of cockpit layout. Digitized models of all design parts are made in CATIA, and inducted to JACK. The comfortableness and visual field module in JACK is used to analyze the result from calculations. A new method of the cockpit design has been established by above work.
