Research On The Control Of Switched Reluntance Starter/Generator

Compared to other machine types, Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) offers an excellent balance between cost, reliability, power density and high speed capability. However the competence of SRM used as a novel DC generation system can not be neglected. Integrating the excellence of the two aspects, this dissertation is devoted to the study on the control of Switched Reluctance Starter/Generator (SRS/G) from a low power SRM.The dissertation introduces the origin, actuality, character, expatiate applicable foreground and developing direction of the SRM; studies the theory of the control of SRM, working principle, running peculiarity and linear analysis, analyzes 3 basic control ways of SRM, which are Voltage chopped wave Control, Current Chopped Control and Angle Position Control, focus on the strategy of PWM chopped wave matching PID, analyzes the technology of slowly-start-up and speed closed loop; then expounds the principle of generate electricity, relationship of energy transformation; do linear analysis for generate electricity state, deduces the basic circuit equation and analytical form of the phase current; while analyzes in linear method effective condition of generate electricity, output characteristic, equivalent model and so on.Meanwhile, the thesis designs a set of starter/generate electricity controller, completes the design of the hardware and software. The results of experiments prove the validity of the theory, and lay a foundation for the more study in Switched Reluctance Starter/Generator.
