Application Of Bluetooth And GPS Technology In Electric-power Field Checkout System

Electric-power field checkout is an important means employed by electricity department for supervising customer to use electricity safely. The traditional method, with its shortcoming of collecting information mistakably, saving data inconveniently and low management efficiency, depends on manual data acquisition and recording. Therefore, all these disadvantages make it unable to meet the need of business developing and the innovation is imperative.In this thesis, according to the characteristics of checkout work and the demand of management, we apply Bluetooth wireless technology, GPS positioning technology and information technology to electric-power field checkout, and aim at the establishment of Electric-power Field Checkout System (EFCS) owning the function of intelligent management. We abandon the traditional wired serial cable during the design. For substitution, based on Bluetooth application model of serial port profile, we establish service connection for data transmission between main station and PDA terminal. The high performance GPS module, used for the satellite positioning information analyzing and distance difference value calculating, is introduced into the system. It will supervise the operator's work effectively. Moreover, database interface module, based on intermediate table strategy, is adopted for data synchronization between checkout system and marketing system to realize the consistency of data. In the thesis, we present the design and implementation of each system module in detail. In addition, the performance of the system is tested and evaluated, and the results indicate that the system runs very well. Also, the performance is satisfactory. The system indeed improved efficiency of checkout work, and is very practical and forward-looking.
