Study On IEC 61850 Standards And Design And Application Of Communication Gateway

At present, IEC 61850 is the latest national standard about communications network and system in substations and trend of future development of substation automation. First, this paper introduced backgroup and actuality of IEC 61850 standards, then the principle base on IEC 61850 standards are analysed through hierarchical thought. Communication gateway is one of most important devices of substation automation system. In this paper, software model and main data model base on IEC 61850 standards are designed and the mapping principles between IEC 61850 and MMS, between IEC 61850 and IEC 60870-5-104 protocol are designed in detail. Finally, practice system engineering of communication gateway is applied and researched.
