| At present, the way for meter reading of Chinese electric power system is mostly by manual work. Using information and automation technology to update this can enhance efficiency and lower expense. This paper puts forward a solution way, that is wireless remote meter reading system based on GPRS technology, and designs the hardware platform of the meter reading TE(terminal equipment) based on the ARM technology. Within the design strategy, a GPRS terminal is connected to the Intemet via the GPRS network, and communications between the meter and client in the AMRS center is implemented by the communication protocol in the GPRS remote AMRS. After practical testing, it indicates that this GPRS TE is characterized with good real-time, high reliability and inexpensiveness.Focused on the design of the GPRS TE, the main tasks of this paper are as follows:Firstly, the background and the signification of this project is introduced. Aimed at the current researches actuality about AMRS at home and abroad, it is necessary to design the GPRS TE.Secondly; based on the requirement of the project research, the paper introduces the related technologies, such as embedded system, embedded operating system, GPRS network, ARM and so on.Thirdly, in order to understand the whole system and the course of developing GPRS TE, the paper introduces the construction of the general AMRS and all kinds of the communication ways in the AMRS. Based on this, the construction of the GPRS AMRS is given out. After that the communication protocols of this system is showed accordingly.Fourthly, the hardware design method of the GPRS TE based on ARM is described detailedly, as well as the main part schematic circuit and PCB design method. In addition, the detailed hardware debugging also was given at last.Fifthly, the software design method of the GPRS TE based on ARM is described detailedly. At the same time four aspects of the software design are discussed, such as the system BootLoader, the realization of the hardware drivers, the replantation of embedded real time operating systemμC/OS-Ⅱ, the design of the system application software and so on. In addition, part codes and flow charts are given out.Sixthly, in order to make the GPRS TE run on the safe side, the reliability of the hardware and software is discussed.Finally, after testing the performance of the GPRS TE, it achieves the due function of meter reading basically. In addition, it has universalness and can upgrade easily. |
