Study On Application Of Quality Function Deployment In Product Development Of Railway Freight Transport

In recent years the traffic and transport industry developed greatly in China, and the railway transport capacity improved. Because the core of railway industry was organization of train operation, customer demand wasn't attached importance enough. Especially in the rapid development of other modes' transport, market competitive circumstances, we need attached more importance to customers and to the market from the perspective of goods transport product development, improve the railway product quality and service level. As a customer-oriented product design method, QFD lays emphasis on carrying out the effective plans in the early stage of product design, thus it can reduce the product's cost and enhances the demand -oriented product development consciousness. In this paper, QFD technology is introduced in the product development process of railway freight transportation. I study the way that QFD technology is applied to the transport strategic, tactical and operational mode. Taking the customer and the market demand as the starting point and making use of the tool of HOQ, and taking a case of special train parcel transport between Beijing and Chengdu, the function decomposition and deployment is carried out and the contrast analysis of the user demand, the technical measure and the product competitive power are produced, finally the technical measure weight is obtained and determine the key technology and technical bottlenecks of transport operation.On the basis of HOQ information, a QFD multi-objective programming model is established for rail goods transport, and the target of technical characteristics products in the case of Beijing-Chengdu special train parcel transport. Finally a advice that a direction post special train operate between Beijing and Chengdu is given to meet the high-value and high value-added cargo transport needs.
