At the present, the study on magnetic-induction hyperthermia is a important branch of tumor hyperthermia method, and that clinical hyperthermia facility development as the research platform is a important contents, its theory and technology including medical image standard, image processing, biomedicine, software engineering, information technology and automatization, and so on.The subject belongs to Guangdong University of technology "Researching on the New Method of Treating Tumor with Hyperthermia Induced by Metal Seeds in the Intermediate Frequency Magnetic Field", which is supported by national nature science fund in 2004. We cooperate harmoniously with NUCTECH and institute of Medical Physics and Engineering in the department of Engineering Physics in Tsinghua University. This paper aims directly at a prototyping hyperthermia system, the first one which developed successfully for clinical trial in china. Key technology and theory have been set forth, analyzed, expounded, built simulation and made experiments, containing excitation power source, resonance capacitor and inductor, controlling system and HMI software built.This paper bases on hyperthermia treatment planning system (HTPS) needs, including curing curve, curing frequence and curing heats dose. We designed a Mid-frequence excitation power source, a resonance capacitor and inductor system, a magnetic core and cooling system,and a automatically controlling system either. About the excitation power source, the paper introduces its principle of design and trigger board. About the resonance capacitor and inductor, the paper cares mainly on its struction and material designning, and explains the combination with the simulation of magnetic core and cooling system designning. In the end, this paper introduces the designning of controlling system on hardware and software, and key implementation of the whole system.The controlling system parameters are designed by thinking of the application needs and safety. Refer to its hardware designs, it uses distributed way, and this paper firstly discusses controller and sensors selection, then, expounding mainly circuit and sensor signal processing circuit, digital signal insulation circuit, communication circuit. Refer to the software designs, this paper firstly introduces the Modbus protocol, and then, discusses main controller software design, including flow-sheet of embedded software design and devices drvier design. At last, it discusses the four axes motor controller software development. By using Virtual Studio 6, I develop a HMI platform for HTPS design, which has implemented on-line multiparameter monitoring and controlling.In the course of writing this paper, I once engaged in research work on magnetic-induction hyperthermia at medical physics and engineering graduate school in Tsinghua University, and took part in the development of magnetic-induction hyperthermia facility in NUCTECH COMPANY LIMITED, holding the post of principal in controlling system design.
