Layout Design And Simulation Of Engine Workshop

The design of workshop layout is one of the important content in the design of manufacturing system, and a good workshop layout or not decided directly the products quality, the productivity and the economy efficiency. This paper expatiates the basic principle, theory and method of the facility layout design. Combining with the manufacturing process and according to the production program of engine factory the flow lines are designed. Product time and quantity of machines is planed. This paper analyses the manufacturing processes, then distributes manufacturing processes to make sure that the flow line can be balanced. The storage system and conveyance system and the other production logistics systems are introduced. According to the frame of workshop and the flow lines, the flow lines and storage system and conveyance system are designed. Based on OpenGL technology, we develop the 3D workshop layout simulation system. Using this system, the workshop layout and the situation of the workshop logistics can be simulated and manufacturing simulation and can be integrated into this system.
