China's highway development is very rapid, and most of them are of asphalt pavement. Water damage is one of the major diseases to asphalt pavement, which caused huge economic losses to transprot, and hampered the further promotion of the asphalt pavement. Through the research of the factors affecting water damage, to find a good ways to evaluate the water-stablility in order to prevent water damage, it is of great practical significance to China's expressway development. Relying on the " Research on Highway Pavement Structure in Hot and Humid Regions ", the program of Yunnan Provincial Communications Department, the writer started a systematical research on asphalt pavement stability in the hot and humid district.Firstly, papers on the asphalt mixture of water stability evaluation methods for comparative studies, is divided into two parts. One category rating between aggregate and asphalt adhesion, so as to water law, water law and represented photoelectric spectrophotometry. In this paper, using water of the different aggregates, asphalt, a combination of additives for adhesion test, to evaluate their levels of adhesion. Another test is the evaluation method compacted the asphalt mixture specimen overall water Anti-stripping ability. Hot and humid region for the actual situation in the analysis and comparison of water and freeze-thaw tests Marshall split test on the basis of the advantages and disadvantages of their own design soaking split test. Three kinds of test results of this analysis showed that: it is not appropriate as a pilot immersion Marshall asphalt mixture of water damage evaluation method; freezing and thawing split test with the distinction between good, and adhesion tests relevance of a better, but there are still some inadequate; Splitting water freezing and thawing split test on the test has improved, more appropriate as a hot and humid asphalt mixture in water-stable performance evaluation.In order to improve the mix of road performance, the paper on the hot and humid in the composition of asphalt mixture design of the study. Through the mixed-orthogonal-test, the paper analysis the law of the impact from five key factors on the water and high temperature stability of the mixture,which are the powder-cement ratio, the type of asphalt, aggregate type of additive type, coarse aggregate. in and obtained optimal level and composition. Recommended composition ratio: 1.3 plastic than powder, limestone, modified bitumen, hydrated lime, 60% coarse aggregate; video on the various factors mixture performance of the ring for the order was: powder binder ratio> coarse aggregate content> Asphalt type> aggregate type> additive types.The results of the study provides a reference for the asphalt mixture design in hot and humid region and evaluation method of water stability. At the same time, it provide a guidence to the extensive application of asphalt pavement on the highway.
