Research And Application On Running Mode Of ASP Platform For New Product Development Process

Based on information and network technology, taking full advantage of various external resources and units, such as universities, institutes, other enterprises and exports, has become one of the important development direction of improving new product development capability for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In recent years, many experts and scholars are engaged in the research and application of relevant work and made many valuable results. In this paper, combined with previous research and application service provider (ASP) mode, the establishment and operation of ASP platform for new product development process for SMEs will be discussed and researched.In this paper, based on the analysis of characteristics of new product development and requirements to networked collaborative product development and ASP platform for SMEs, a kind of ASP Platform for New Product Development Process which can provide a complete set of service about new product development process including products reverse, modeling, design and manufacturing for SMEs is put forwards. The architecture and running mode of ASP Platform for New Product Development Process are set up.Based on researches above, the main technical framework of ASP Platform for New Product Development Process which includes main techniques, special techniques and supporting techniques is established, among which the technique of organization and management of ASP service resources, networked collaborative work technique and systems development technique are researched.Finally, according to the requirements of new product development for SMEs in Chongqing, a set of system for support the running of ASP Platform for New Product Development Process is developed and applied to the new product development process for SMEs in Chongqing, the application result is good.
