Since opening to the outside world, Chongqing has got a big development, and the economy has accelerated the city's construction and commonality building. After 1997, the west development has provided a unique opportunity. The commonality building's energy consumption is rising greatly. Office building is one kinds of commonality building, espacially these years, the number of office building has greatly increased, and the working environment is improving, then the energy consumption is increasing observably, which bring a great pressure for employer, city energy, environment and power supply. The building energy saving is the most useful way to reduce energy consumption. To understand the building energy consumption status and the reason causing energy consuming is the precondition of energy saving design and energy saving alteration. As we find the key point of energy saving, we will achieve the goal. After the investigation, we find that the office building's energy consumption in chongqing is 10 times bigger than the energy consumption of house.Different districts mean different situations, so the energy saving methods have a obviously regional character, we must combine the real conditions of chongqing with the information we have to form a typical way to deal with the energy problem here. First of all, we should know the reason of energy saving work, so we have read a lot of papers and have accumulated enough information in this field, which include the way take in and outside China.Secondly, we have spent a lot time to investigate building energy consumption in Chongqing, we focused on two fields: common and emphases. After laboring the investigation report, we find the main characteristics of office building in chongqing, especially its structure, material using, heat preservationg method, building energy consumption, energy structure, and energy management, which provide the basic data for later work. The result shows that the average office building energy consumption in chongqing is 132 kWh/m2?a , air condition is 50.7%, the wrong direction is 32%, the building use ordinary window is 80%. If roof and outside wall do not use heat preservation material, the heat coefficient of outside wall is 2.0 W/m2.k, and the heat coefficient of roof is 3.14W/m2.k. Otherwise the building's windows using aluminium alloy frame and ordinary glass is up to 80%,the heat coefficient of outside wall is 6.4W/m2.k. The heat capability of enclosure structure is very bad, which is far from the standard rules. We have find the reason of high energy consumption, and provided the basic data and model for the latter work. Then we use DeST-c to simulate the data, take multi-level and high-level office building models to simulate energy consumption. Here we use single-factor method to do the quantitative analysis for typical reasons of energy consumption, then to find the relationship between office building energy consumption and building shape, outer-wall, roof, window, air condition, illumination. Different factor has different effect, the result is window-to-wall-rate > window type> wall type > cover > direction > roof, and the most energy-saving potential of wall, window and roof are 7.51%,9.14%,3.08%The result of this investigation is representative for constituting the building energy saving standard of Chongqing, also it is a reference for the relative research and energy saving alteration work. Finally, after the investigating and the analysis, some energy saving plans for enclose structure is formed. we also compared each plan on its energy consumption, investment and income, which will be a usful reference for energy saving design and energy saving alteration in Chongqing.
