Cerebrum is the most ingenious and complicated system,whereas brain electrical signal is cerebral nerve cellular physiological activity's behavior at pallia or scalp surface. The detection of the brain electrical signal is significant for research of brain function, and is also useful for clinic diagnosis for the brain disease.The application of Electroencephalograph (EEG) in clinic,it can be used as brain function proceed test,and it can be also used as diagnosis to brain damage, cerebralthrombosis, dysplasia, disease of metabolism, falling sickness and incretion morbid proceed. Recently, along with the technological advancement, the research on brain electrical signal have increasingly penetrate into depth,investigative purpose and the person engaged in have gone beyond medical treatment range. For example, Brain electrical signal is a corking studying object to the nonlinear scientific researcher,electrical chaotic characteristics have been confirmed by more and more research; To those people who interested in Control, it is a natural thoughts from clavier(hand) to voice(mouth),anew to idea(cerebrum). Some good result have inspired people's confidence in a great extent: the America scientist have already been able to use electric wave to control the computer's cursor freely. Of course,the EEG signals acqusition is very important to Cerebrum.This paper introduced the development of EEG data acqusition system based on USB interface. It includes two part: hardware design and software design.Hardware design: it mostly includes amplifier and filter design, A / D convertion, digtal isolation, Universal Serial Bus(USB) interface communication module. The primary components and chips being used in this system include high precision INA128 produced by TI company for the first input, digtal isolation ADuM2400 produced by ADI company, MAX1178 produced by MAX company for A/D conversion, CY7C68013 (128AC) produced by Cypress company for control and USB communication. Software design: it includes, at the GPIF mode of the CY7C68013, the control of A/D conversion, the directing operation of the data acquisition, USB firmware program, device driver;Windows application design. The main programming tool includes Keil C for A/D conversion and data acquisition, EZ-USB Control Panel debugging USB interface communication program, Driver Studio for device driver development and Visual C++ 6.0 for windows applicant program.
