The Design And Research Of Ship Power System

The continuity,reliability and quality of the ship power system supply have a direct effect on the economy,technology and vitality level of the ship.In STCW convention(International Convention on Standards of Training Certification and Watching for Seafarers),IMO(International Maritime Organization) emphasizes the importance of teaching and training for seafarers.With the implementation of STCW 78/95,it is particularly significant to carry on the training of the electric technological knowledge for the engineers.Chinese MSA(Maritime Safety Administration) states clearly that the teaching of maritime students and training of seafarers must be carried out according to the requirement of the convention.Therefore,it will be a realistic significance for developing a set of ship power system suitable for teaching and training.On the base of the reseach of ship power system on "YUKUN" vessel,the training ship of Dalian Maritime University,and the project experience of Fujian automatic engine room,this thesis states the design process of ship power system suitable for teaching and training.It includes the design of the power source equipment(power load calculation),power distribution equipment(power device selection,the design of the figure drawings and circuit diagrams of main switchboard),electric network(cable selection,primary network diagram and secondary network diagram),and power system protection(short circuit values calculation and alternative protection).This system has full functions of the ocean ship power system,and functions for teaching and training which can be truly carried out.The process of the design and research of this system will be a instruction for the design of the small ships.
