| The short-pier shear wall has both the advantages of the framework and long- pier shear wall. In current, it has become one of the most popular forms of structure in the mid-rise residential building, because its characteristics of flexible layout,reasonable force and low-cost,which meets the challenges of the mid - rise residential building.It indicates the distinguish between short-pier shear wall in conjunction with the long-pier shear wall, the whole wall with small openings and wall-frames in this paper, from the mechanical properties ,based on pier strength coefficientξand integrative coefficientα, and then it gives the definition of the short-pier shear wall. This paper also analysis the performance of short- pier shear on the lateral load, based on a large number of calculating of sets of symmetrical coupling shear wall with two piers, which distinction form different pier strength coefficientξand integrative coefficientα.There are three different proposal layout of short-pier shear wall on one mid-rise residential building in this paper. Through calculating by SATWE, this paper analysis the design specifications, such as axial compression ratio,displacement,story drift angle. Then, it evaluates the three options under dynamic load in the seismic performance with the flexible time-history analysis methods. Moreover , it analysis the elastic-plastic performance and failure modes of the three options under the lateral load through the elastic-plastic push-over analysis method; check the capacity of the anti-collapse of the short-pier shear wall structure in the earthquake. At last, this paper gives the reasonable number of short-pier shear walls in the short-pier shear wall structure, which can be consulted by the engineers. |
